Reactions & Audience Mode
Sending a reaction
You can react during any call — whether you’re a full participant in a chat call or watching a community livestream as part of the audience.
- Tap the smiley face icon in the control bar.
- A row of quick reactions appears above the controls (heart, laugh, fire, clap, and a few more). Tap one to send it.
- Your reaction floats up over everyone’s screen in the call, in a small burst rather than a single icon.
- For more variety, tap the + at the end of the row to open sticker search (“Search Klipy stickers…”). Search or scroll the trending stickers, and tap one to send it the same way as a quick reaction.
Reactions are visible to everyone in the room at the same time — there’s no way to react privately or to just one person.
Audience mode
Audience mode is what you get when you join a community livestream rather than a DM or group call. The room looks a little different from a regular call:
- Instead of a grid with everyone’s tile, the stage only shows the moderators who are actively broadcasting.
- A “N watching” count replaces the “N in call” label you’d see in a regular group call, so you can tell how many people have tuned in.
- You can still send reactions and stickers exactly as described above — that part doesn’t change.
- Mic and camera controls are hidden, since viewers in audience mode aren’t able to publish audio or video.
A regular group or DM call never switches into audience mode — everyone in those calls is always a full participant. For how a community starts a livestream and who gets to broadcast, see the Communities section’s Community Livestreams page.
