Multiple Accounts
Nuts supports running more than one account on the same device, X-style — add a second account, then switch between them without fully logging out of either.
Adding an account
- Open the menu drawer and tap the chevron next to your name and @handle at the top. Your account list expands right there in the drawer.
- Tap Add an existing account.
- Sign in the way you normally would — email, social, or wallet. Nuts adds the account to your list and switches you into it.
Switching accounts
- Open the drawer and expand the account list the same way (tap the chevron next to your name).
- Tap the account you want to switch to. The account you’re currently on is marked with a checkmark.
- The first time you switch, Nuts asks you to create a 4-digit switch PIN. After that, you’ll be asked to enter it each time you switch.
Once the PIN is verified, Nuts switches you into the selected account.
Why the PIN
The switch PIN protects your other accounts on this device — their sessions are stored encrypted, and switching into one requires the PIN. Your currently active account doesn’t need the PIN for everyday use; it only gates switching between accounts. Too many wrong attempts in a row temporarily locks switching for a short cooldown period.
If you forget your PIN, tap Forgot PIN? on the PIN screen. Resetting removes your other stored accounts from this device and turns the PIN off — your current account stays signed in, and you’ll need to sign back into the others. A forgotten PIN can’t be recovered; the protected sessions are deleted, not unlocked.
You can create, change, or reset your switch PIN any time from Settings → Account switch PIN — see Account Security.
Logging out of an account
In the expanded account list, tap the logout icon next to any account that isn’t currently active to remove it from this device.
On the web
The same account switcher opens from your profile drawer — click your avatar to open it, and your account list, Add an existing account, and the switch PIN all work the same way as on the app.
