Profile & ReputationEditing Your Profile

Editing Your Profile

Your profile is what other people see before they see anything else about you — your avatar, display name, bio, website link, and banner. You can update all of it from one screen.

Opening the profile editor

  1. Go to your own profile.
  2. Tap Edit Profile (the pill button under your banner).

You can also get there from the menu drawer: open the drawer and tap Edit Profile in the list.

Changing your banner and avatar

  • Banner — tap the small camera icon over the banner image at the top of the screen, then choose a photo from your device. It uploads and replaces your banner automatically.
  • Avatar — tap your avatar (the circular photo with the camera icon over it). A sheet opens with two options:
    • Upload Photo — pick an image from your device and use it as-is.
    • Avatar Studio — generate an AI mascot-style avatar instead of uploading a photo. See Avatar Maker for the full flow.

Editing your text fields

  • Display name — the name shown next to your @handle everywhere on Nuts.
  • Bio (optional) — a short description of yourself. A counter under the field shows how many characters you have left.
  • Website link (optional) — a link shown on your profile.

Both the display name and bio have a character limit enforced as you type; the bio field shows a live counter so you always know how much room is left.

Saving

  1. Once you’re happy with your changes, tap Save changes.
  2. Nuts confirms the update and takes you back to your profile.
  3. Tap Cancel instead if you want to discard your edits and go back.

Your new name, bio, and avatar appear everywhere your profile does — your posts, comments, chats, and any community member lists — as soon as the save completes.

On the web

The same editor lives at Edit Profile, reached from your profile drawer (click your avatar, then Edit Profile) or directly from your own profile page. The layout is a single scrolling card instead of a full-screen sheet, but the fields are the same: banner, avatar, display name, bio, and website. Avatar generation is a separate step on web — tap Generate AI avatar under your avatar to open the Avatar Maker in its own page, rather than choosing between Upload Photo and Avatar Studio in a sheet.

Field length limits differ slightly between the app and web for the display name and bio fields — if you write something long on one surface, it may come back shorter if you edit it again on the other.

For anything beyond your profile fields — username, wallet, or notification settings — use Settings, linked from the bottom of the web editor.
