Trending & Happening
Trending and Happening are two different discovery surfaces that both live outside your regular feed — Trending is about what’s popular on Nuts, Happening is about what’s happening in the world around Nuts.
Trending
Trending is a dedicated feed of the most popular posts on Nuts, with a time-window switcher: 24h, Week, Month, and All Time.
On the web
Trending has its own icon in the left sidebar. Click it, then pick a time window at the top to change the ranking period.
Trending is currently a web-only surface — there’s no dedicated Trending screen in the app yet. On the app, the closest equivalent is the Discover tab of your main feed, which is itself ranked rather than chronological.
Happening
Happening is a feed of real-world headlines — short news-style cards — with the Nuts posts talking about each one linked underneath.
- In your Discover feed, look for the “What’s Happening” card (it appears a few posts down).
- Tap a headline card, or tap See more on the card’s header to open the full Happening feed.
- Tap any headline to open it — you’ll see the full headline plus every post that’s been tagged to it, most relevant first.
Posts get attached to a headline automatically, the same way posts get tagged with topics — you don’t tag a post to a headline yourself.
On the web
Happening also has its own icon in the left sidebar, alongside Trending, so you can jump straight to /happening instead of scrolling to find the feed card.
