Getting StartedCreating an Account

Creating an Account

You don’t need a separate sign-up form on Nuts — signing in for the first time creates your account automatically. Behind the scenes, Nuts uses a login provider called Privy to handle sign-in and account security; you’ll never interact with Privy directly, it just powers the buttons described below.

Signing in on the app

  1. Open Nuts. The first time you open it, a short animated welcome plays with the sign-in options built right into it.
  2. Choose how you want to sign in:
    • Continue with Google
    • Sign in with X
    • Sign in with Apple
    • Email — enter your email address, then enter the one-time code Nuts sends you to confirm it’s you.
    • External Wallet — connect an existing crypto wallet (for example MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or WalletConnect).
  3. Once you’re signed in, Nuts takes you straight into your feed. There’s no separate password to create or remember.

You only see the welcome intro once. After that, opening Nuts while you’re signed in takes you straight to your feed.

On the web

The web app offers the same sign-in options — Google, X, email, or a crypto wallet — from its own animated welcome screen. If you’re creating a brand-new account (rather than signing back in), the web app also walks you through a short setup step covering your handle and avatar before dropping you into the feed. That step is covered in Choosing Your Handle & Avatar.

On the app today, this guided setup step isn’t shown after sign-up — you land straight in your feed and can set up your avatar later from your profile. See Choosing Your Handle & Avatar for where to find it.
