Images, Video, GIFs & Stickers

Above the text field in the composer, you’ll find a row of small icon-only buttons for Photo, Video, Link, and Poll, plus a separate Sticker button. This page covers the media buttons; see Polls for the poll button and Creating a Post for the rest of the composer.

Adding a photo or video

1. Tap the Photo icon to add an image. You can attach up to 4 photos to a single post — the button shows a running count (Add more (2/4), for example) as you add more.
2. Tap the Video icon to add a video instead. You can attach one video per post. The composer lists supported formats as MP4, MOV, and AVI, up to 500MB.
3. A thumbnail strip shows everything you’ve attached, with a remove option on each item.

You can’t mix a video with photos in the same post — choose one or the other.

Adding a GIF or sticker

1. Tap the Sticker icon to open the media picker. It opens with two tabs: GIFs and Stickers.
2. Use the search field at the top (placeholder text: “Search gifs…” or “Search stickers…”) to look for something specific, or scroll the grid of results below.
3. Tap a result to attach it to your post.

The animated emoji picker you see in chat isn’t available here — it’s specific to messaging, so only GIFs and stickers can be attached to a post.

On the web

The attach buttons, limits, and GIF/sticker picker work the same way as in the app. The one difference: on web, hovering over each icon shows its label (Photo, Video, Link, Poll); in the app the icons appear without a label.
