NERD (AI Assistant)

NERD is the AI assistant built into Nuts. It shows up wherever people are already talking — group chats, community chats, and posts and comments — rather than living in a separate screen you have to go find.

Where NERD works

• Group chats and community chats — just say “NERD” (or any close variant of its name) in a message and it’ll respond. No @ mention needed; NERD is listening for its name in the conversation.
• Posts and comments — tag @NERD the same way you’d tag any other user, and it’ll reply in the thread.

Summarizing a conversation

If a chat has scrolled way past what you’ve read, just ask NERD to summarize it — say something like “NERD, catch me up” or “NERD, summarize this.” It reads back through the recent conversation and posts a short summary.

Turning NERD off

NERD is opt-out, not mandatory. If you own or moderate a chat or community, you can turn NERD off for that space from its chat settings — anyone who’s been addressing it there will stop getting a response once it’s off.

What NERD can do

Beyond answering questions and summarizing, NERD can also prepare money actions on your behalf — sending, swapping, bridging, setting up limit orders, and launching a token — without ever moving your funds itself. See Money Actions with NERD for how that review-and-sign flow works.

Tip from the mascot

NERD never needs an @ in chat — just say its name. Posts and comments are the one place you tag it like a regular user.
